Default Opinion of Value - Privateer Roamer II

What's it worth?

1999 Privateer Roamer II - 21'8"
2009 Mercury Optimax 225 - 900 hours
Porta Bracket
Owens and Sons tandem trailer.

Boat is solid but ugly. Motor runs strong. Trailer is in good shape, newer tires, surge breaks.
Not necessarily looking to sell right away but am looking at something different. Would love to keep both.
What do y'all think?

I see a bit more than $5k there, as long as the hull is solid it could bring $8-10k. That Hull is well known in eastern NC where it was built.

$5k? That must be a joke. NC, Va, Md region, that boat is easily $15k and I've seen them as high as $21k. They have a big following in that area, a lot are fished commercially or chartered.

I bet at $12,000 it would be a quick sale. If you posted it for $14,500-$15,000 you may get it eventually from the right buyer who is looking for that particular hull ( which is a SUPER hull) with that newer motor on a trailer.

FL those hulls are more suited and sought after by commercial. FL 21' boats are a commodity, especially basic ones. I owned a 28' Privateer for several years. Def well made, albeit lots of wood. I am not poo pooing the man's boat. I bought a 21' Carolina made boat similar in finish and construction couple years ago for 5k here in VA Was a great boat.

OP, list it for sale- we have nothing but butt pulled guesses- then you will know for sure what your market is down there.

Thanks for your input guys. I realize that a few pics and a basic description is not much to go on for valuing something. I'm hoping to not sell it, its been a great do-it-all boat for Tampa Bay and the Keys. Good news for me is that I've got 4 friends/acquaintances who have called "dibs" if I do want to sell.

If I end up closing the deal on the Dusky 23FAC I'll keep both for a while and see which I like best. Due to space limitations at the house I would probably need to let one go. Unless I can find a lift for one of them.

The Dusky deal fell through, the Privateer won't be going up for sale any time soon. Thanks to those who asked.
