Default more bass on my boat

I've got a 36 invincible that has a killer sound system for a CC, but I want more bass. Its already got 6 subs. I'm wondering if there is anything else available or any kind of box that can be made for the ones that are in the console. (they are installed like you always see on these CC's which is simply screwed in the hole cut for them). I'm also wondering if I were to increase the bass in that area if it would shake the electronics and controls to death.

I read this post 5 times and I am not sure if this is a goof or a serious post. 6 subwoofers in 36ft boat is not enough? Why not just bring the band along. They'll bring their own amps and you don't have to have any subwoofers.

lol sounds like a serious set up already.
But curious as to what brand and model subs are in there already?
The M series JL subs are badass if you don't have them already. I have 2 tens and they kick nicely. You could fit 12s no problem.
Also make sure your amps are set up right for the subs.

You are definitely going to get flamed for what appears to be an overkill set up already, but to each his own.
Good luck.

6 subs without enough bass means there is another problem. Are you running enough power to them? JL makes subs for open air vs boxed enclosures.....do you have the correct ones? Cross-over or isolated so the subs can be controlled properly? Get a prfessional installer to look at the issue......something is right!

Ha, the are JL's. Not exactly sure what model they are....It isn't a volume issue, they are all loud as heck. So loud that I never turn it all the way up.....I just want more deeper bass like would come out of a bandpass box or something.

6 subs and not enough bass?

that tells me something is not set up correctly, could be a power issue or adjustments on the amp itself. you dont need more speakers you need them dialed in!

I hate to tell you but you bought the wrong boat. If you want to catch more bass you need to be able to run and gun more spots, some in shallow water. If you really want to get serious about bass, take a look at some of the pro rigs. I don't think you can even put a trolling motor on your Invincible. Also, you'll need to turn off your stereo, bass spook easly and the bite wont be productive.

I thought this thread was about fish and how this guy could get more bass on his boat. Then I read it and he simply wants more bass, not bass . I was going to suggest a Texas rig soft plastic worm with a curly tail to get more bass.

A guy with 6 subs needs to draw even more attention to himself. Say it ain't so.

If you want more and deeper bass (not louder) you would probably be best to build a proper sized ported enclosure. Dimensions and shape would be specific to your speaker size and power, that's all the help I can be since I haven't cared about this since around high school. The size of your console is too much volume for the speakers.

Please just do us all a favor and keep the volume down any time are not in open water.

You need to down size the number and increase the size. Go to Rockford's 2-12's cabinets and you'll be good to go.

Are you sure they're subs? Or do you have six midrange woofers? If they're six subs, how many other speakers do you have?
