Wow 689lbs so itís only about 20lb heavier than a 350 verado but pumps out 100 more HP and 40% more torque thatís fairly epic

400hp out of I6 2.6 L Supercharged

450hp out of V8 4.6 L Supercharged

I'd say there's plenty more there

those are all the boats I saw offshore. And that one drone shot of the nortech is the same day I was there I just wasnít close enough to tell if it had quads or not. Iíd love to get them on the new freeman if the timing is right. Canít get them on the merc pro team which sucks but they are gonna rip. 89 octane is huge too as well as the hp/weight ratio.

Why am I envisioning a soldier standing over a 425 blowing Ďtapsí?
Mercury ainít messiní around. The gloves are off and Iím glad to see American dominance in the market. Now if I could only get my hands on a 300 Verado.

Wow, hats off to Mercury. Very, very impressive.

That thing would be sweet on a SeaVee 270Z.

Are these "racing" engines common on normal old fishing boats in the US or is everyone getting excited about an engine they will probably never buy?

Correct me if I'm wrong but dont "racing" motors usually flip to normal production in a year or so?

Would seem most likely that a 350 to 400 HP SC consumer V8 would be coming down the pipe.....for delivery in 2025. .

The tech and HP will trickle down . Couple years 550 hp will be racing and 500 hp wil be consumer with 5 yr warranty .

what would keep someone from putting a set of these on a proper center console now? Have a customer with a 400r on a 25í fishing boat?
