Default What's your non stupid boat name?

I was under the impression that naming your boat would assist in a rescue or fuel drop from my Sea Tow brothers or even the harbor master and his assistants who seem to be power crazed in some of surrounding towns. They suck but of course i will call them if need be and will KowTow if they want.
Rock on.
So what is the name of your boat? I went with Selah. Its a biblical term that means a pause in the music but the other interpretations means to pause and reflect on life and your future.
So if you dont have at the very least have a name for your voice how do you request assistance?
Have to mow the lawn so enough of this. The ball & chain is away so i better get to it. NOT because she says so though!! I do stuff because i want too. I have to get goong on my chore list because i want to.
Again thanks for the help AND the lack of ridicule.

"Morning Wood" Selah is to hard to pronounce and to hard to spell. Rescue is going to ask you over and over to spell it. The name should always be so obvious that in an emergency radio call everyone listening knows how its spelled.

Thinking of naming the new boat “Anything Helps”

last boat was “Barely Legal”, “Barely Legal 2” might look good too.

Current boat was named already. “Ms. Molly”, I went boat shopping shortly after my brother was murdered as a way to spend some time with my family and with my father. My brother and I grew up fishing together and my best memories were made on the water, I wanted to replicate that for my daughter and make some new memories with my dad. I went on a search for a 20-25’ older proven hull with a newer 4 stroke repower...I shopped around for quite some time before passing this boat, I knew it was what I was looking for. My brother had a puppy named Molly when he was killed. Coincidence or not, I ended up walking away with the boat at much less than the cost of the sub-300 hour Suzuki. I kept the name, updated the graphics though.

Turas Nua - in Irish it means "new voyage" and after buying my first large boat at 65, it was exactly that for me.

Default Boat Names

My Trojan F36 Sportfish was named "Cu Roi". After a grand wizard in Irish mythology much like Merlin in British methology. Our dinghy that we towed was named "Tender Behind".

Ages ago we had a series of sailboats named Rosinante. Don Quixote's horse. Nothing like tilting at windmills. Went without a boat for ~25 years. Bought a little fishing boat from Tracker. Named her Scout. Seemed apropos. Then bought a Parker. My grandkids named her Traveler.... Robert Lee's horse. Seemed fitting since we live in Richmond.

I'm a pretty dull guy, and don't name my boats, but, if any rescue organisation can't tell the difference between a boat sending up distress flares, crew waving their arms around, and a boat just fishing without a name, I would take my chances on saving myself.
