Sold my CC and bought my DC shortly after my first child was born, pretty specifically to be more kid friendly. Her name is Harper, and born in June of 2016. Just so happened that in June 2016, the US Mint also released a commemorative coin for Harper's Ferry State Park. Boat name is "Harper's Ferry."

Traveler

-based off my schools mascot and my job. Only caveat is the boat has to be white to tie it all together.

Thinking of naming my boat "Vie en Rose" - before explaining it.....what are your first thoughts?

We named our 89 Seaswirl Sierra Classic Bowrider after the previous owner’s wife Cheri, whose parents bought it new in 1989. She was sad to see it go and the whole buying experience was great; we wanted to make a gesture.

The vessel is called Mon Chéri, though not yet displayed anywhere yet.

Also, “come on post count!”

The road to my wife and I getting married was spread over 10 years that included many boyfriends on her part and girlfriends on mine (including a fiancee). She's a musican and insisted we have a live big band at our wedding - it happened to be the one she played tenor sax in. She chose our first dance song but didn't tell me. It was as fitting then as it is now and it's the name of our boat - "It Had To Be You"

Previous boat name was 'Ceffyl y Mor' which my daughters chose - Welsh for Sea Horse - current boat is 'Wahoo' which is the name it gained when it was originally purchased in Florida - I was going to change it after I bought it, but with it having made a journey across the Atlantic I thought it would be a shame to lose some of its American roots so I kept it. It was done in ugly big 1980's style block letters though which I swapped for a much more subtlely sized elegant script font. I'm guessing its a really common boat name in the US, but here (UK) its one of only two on the MMSI register.

Redundant Sea, since that is how the new boat was paid for.

Wow,! There sure are a lot of "I wish I had thought of that" names floating around on this thread but I'm afraid I was wrong thinking I needed to name my boat so I could hail Sea Tow. You were right. No one would understand what i was saying so i would have to say Sierra Echo Alpha I mean Sierra Echo, Lima. Before i got it right the water would be swirling around my feet. Someone also rudely but accurately pointed out that if it was a distress call it would be obvious that the guy jumping up and down, shooting flares, waving flags and blowing horns was the guy in need of assistance.
I'm going to hold off on naming my boat. Maybe when I take it/her/he out to Stellwagon or lose cell phone reception or have a transom big enough put to put a name on I'll revisit the question. For now I'll just call Bill *the Sea Tow guy) on the phone and tell him I hit another lobster trawl and I'm drifting around Minot's. If it's Bill's dayoff I'll just say this is a Dauntless 17 and my card number is .....

Red boat. It's a red boat. Figured if I'm ever hailing on GPS it could be helpful.

CREW REST. currently CREW REST IV.
there were three previous to IV.
And if you were in the military as a flyer or a Commercial/ATP Pilot, you know what this is.

Good luck taking that Dauntless 17 to Stellwagen. I would say that unless you are experienced enough to know all of these things, and even then, taking that 17ft boat all the way out there... you better have them on a sat phone with speed dial.

Named our CC Reel Allure. Allure means powerfully and mysteriously attractive but is also a play on lure, as in fishing lure.
