Boat name is "Winter's End II".
You would need to be from the north east to appreciate it's meaning.

My first wife was named Ruth. The boat at that time was renamed "Ruthless"!

her name came from an innocent story that involved flounder fishing. "You just have to wait until the pole starts to dance, then just real." I was told. I thought of this and the wife agreed.

"Life Support"

I'm a critical care nurse. So is my lady. It lets me say this on my voice mail: Sorry I missed your call, I must be on life support. Leave a message, I'll call you when I can. You should hear some of the messages I get.

First boat: MT Pockets (MT, my initials)
Second boat: Orion (left on from the previous owner)
Third Boat: Waypoint ( I knew we would be getting another boat but did not want to tell the Mrs!)
Fourth and current boat of 16 years: Keeper ( wife found out about my plan with Waypoint! Plus our son was a soccer goal keeper so it just fell into place).

Boat in sig is the Mad Hatter. Yes I know there are many named the same. But let the record show there is only one Mad Hatter that is a Hatteras with hailing port Madeira Beach FL which is always referred to as Mad Beach. Owned this one since 1992, many stories, kids grew up on it, and over hopefully the next few years it gets transitioned over to them.

My new to me boat is larger. I did not look for it. It hunted me down. Name is Esperanza. The means "Hope" in Spanish. That is my wife's grandmothers name. There is history of the boat in Tampa and certain "families" that owned it and ran it. My wife (innocently) partied with the youth of these families. All that and how the boat came to be for sale in Florida again under some depressing circumstances made us take the leap. I am now charged with keeping it in Bristol condition. I am blessed.

Another "non stupid" name I saw on a large speedboat (like maybe 40' ) in Poughkeepsie called Blue Bayou. It was power baby blue and I was told it was extremely fast so correctly named. I thought it was pretty cool.

Current boat is HonkyVoodeux....born and raised in Texas(Honky Tonks) but the boat lives in Louisiana south of New Orleans(hence the voodoo). First boat was named HonkyVoodoo new one is HonkyVoodeux for “two”.

Before those was MadMac named after my daughters.

Henry O, ‘cause that’s the name on the side. 1987 Henry O Challenger 150 DC.

This is past weekend it temporarily got renamed Dammit. Nothing more fun than hot sun, water pump issues and a 1987 model two stroke (which to be fair has been a fabulous Suzuki engine).

Sorry folks but if you have to explain the name, it’s not a good boat name.
