Default 2003 Pathfinder 2400V bilge pump removal,,,?

Need some advice on how to remove the bilge pump on this thing. I can barely touch the bilge pump, much less see it. Any advice is appreciated...

Most Pathfinder owners replace the pie shaped access plate with a rectangular waterproof hatch to help with access of the bait pumps and bilge pumps in the splash well.

i believe the original bilge pump is a rule 1100. It snaps into basket strainer. Reach around the base of the pump and there are two tabs, at 180°, that need to be pressed in to release the pump from the basket. Take a 1/4" ratchet drive with a 3/8" socket to loosen the radiator clamp holding the the bilge pump hose.

The bad news is that if you have the original 1100 Rule bilge pump, it has been discontinued. The replacement will not fit in the old basket. The good news is that the basket screws on the new Rule pump will line up.

It amazes me the simplest things that boat builders don't account for, but have plenty of cup holders!!!

Thanks, I'll have to dig into it and maybe remove the pumps for the livewells and recirc to get to it. I've even thought about cutting the bottom of the center livewell out to access it then making a starboard bottom plate to screw/silicone back into place.

The problem with your suggestion above about removing the round hatch is that the round hatch area is actually a raised flat made on a slightly downward curved splashwell. So any rectangular replacement will not sit flat. I've been searching for someone who can make me a curved trim bezel for a hatch, but no one seems to have the capability or desire...
