Default Dock Ramp for Very Large Dog

Help! Just installed a floating dock behind house. Need suggestions or comments on a ramp for a 170+lb Newfoundland. No problem getting in water but big issue getting out.

You don't want a ramp, you want stairs. Much easier for the dog to mount and much shorter than a ramp would need to be.

Here is one example:

We did that on our dock. The steps are great for the dogs, fat women and drunks getting out of the water

Probably steps and not that steep. We are newfie owners (on 2nd) and getting them back on to a swim platform can be a chore. Basically grab a lot of hair and lift!

And why not a pic in your post?

I ran through this same thing. While my dog is not nearly as big as yours, I trained him in an hour or so to use it. Works well for dogs and people. Highly recommend. I called and actually spoke to the owner and his wife. Very easy to deal with and install was a breeze.
