Drove down to Jupiter today and snagged a 1979 25 speedcraft. Really excited the owner I got it from was a super great guy and I promised a build thread so here it goes.

Plan on twice the cost and four times the time, and lots of cursing. Good luck and let’s see some pics!

Finally got the boat moved to where it gonna be so I can work on it. I couldnt stand looking the boot stripe any longer so I removed it. I bought a can of "remove-a-boot" and it was gone in just a few minutes. I'm going to order a few can of "add-a-deck", "Insta-recore", "stringers-be-good" and finally "finish-a-boat". I think with those simple products this boat will be getting wrapped up.

Watching you remove years of shit is like watching a pimple get squeezed in slow motion.

How is the transom? Looks like there is some 1708 back there, did they do a decent job in reinforcing before adding the bracket?

The transom on these are weird its only cored where its pushed and where the tie downs are.. I believe I will be removing the core for coosa and adding legs to tie the stringers into the transom. Then between the legs add a shelf for my livewell to rest on. Everything on this boat was repaired kinda half @$$ed. Lots for mat glassed over unsanded gelcoat and such.
