South Texas skinny water (flats, inshore) boat builders are scrambling to beef up stringer and transom designs with this announcement, I'm sure of it :^)

I’m curious to see if this one will be 1500lbs ???

My my guess is it would be lighter than the Yamaha.

Who knows.....is this thread just a teaser ?......nothing substantiating the announcement.

I'm not waiting for this beast I'm waiting for Mercury to build a 560 lb 350 verado so I can replace my Yami 300's. I want another 100 ponies but don't want another 200 lbs. on the transom.

The V8 mercury 300 verado v8s would outperform the yamahas I am sure.

200# on the transom is nothing. One fat chick has that covered. Just saying.

100 hp VS 200 lb. fat chick? Talk about apples and watermelons.

Yep. An outboard level of power is not the most powerful announcement ever. Gotta be an inboard of some sort.

I'd prefer two small ones instead, but then again to each his own.

Yeah the ad says "most powerful ever". Doesnt say anything about an outboard and is mercury racing.

It's an all new 9.9hp super big foot highhtust baised on the V8. It's the most powerful trolling motor ever!

I agree with it being Inboard's as well. It's mercury racing and the unveiling is in Nashville. If it was an outboard, the target market in not Nashville.
