I think the buyer should spend his time in court, provided he has all the papework in order. The court experience is valuable in many ways. It is a learning experience, the marina will have learned something from this, and it helps get over fears of public speaking. If the buyer wins, the marina may then sue their customer, the previous owner. The seller is a jerk, but if he looses in court to the marina, he will think twice of doing this again. Otherwise the seller will continue to cheat people over and over.

So, I am facing a couple of murder charges as well as a bank robbery charge. Anyone have any good advice as to how to get around these? I was going to ask Lawyers.com, but it seems like this sight has better legal advice !!! Johnny Cochran, you out there???????????

So isn't it about time to OUT the original flim-flam man seller? Assuming all the facts are as they appear, what's the clown going to do, sue?

these types operate in the dark, and come out from under rocks when the rocks are tipped over. It's time to expose this dude to the light.

Just pay really good lawyers with a credit card and then dispute the charges.

Last text convo I had with Paul. This is basically where it was left. I may have embellished a little with "100k people" but whatever. In case you are wondering about the first text to him in the picture regarding the cushions. I actually forgot about that with the bill issue. he told me the marina had the v birth cushions in storage. That was also a lie and he evaded the question entirely.

Really good lawyers don't take credit cards.

Does it qualify as "mail fraud" if you tell someone you mailed something but didn't?

At least it changed the subject a slight bit. The only way I can mentally handle this thread any more is to tell myself it is a new thread. Just tagged on to the end of the old one.

You admitted the purchase was from the heart, not the brain so I won't say I told you so.
You made a mistake, time to move on.

If the marina refused to work with you on the $1400, I too would be upset! They bare some of the liability since they admit they do not have a lien.
I would offer $500 (half of the original storage) plus $500 for launching the boat and current storage. This should be fair and reasonable.
Considering having a cop stand there while you load it onto a trailer and transport would cost at least $500-$1,000.

Start thinking with your brain, not your heart. This is a simple math equation.

I would then be at the front door of the previous owner's house, and follow up with a small court claim. If he is married, make sure that his wife will pester him!!! If he has a job, make sure the boss and/or customers know he is not trust worthy....etc.

Don't have the money for a lawyer. Bank job didn't go as planned. I was hoping one of the legal experts on here would represent me pro- bono or do you only take civil lawsuit cases?

Given the text trail posted above, did the marina get their money? It appears he claims they have called him.
