Beautiful boat!

the only one I have actually built from scratch was a little 14' SOF kayak that my dad and I built when I was growing up.
I have done -major- rebuilds on a couple of vintage wooden boats.

She’s 16’ drafts around 6 inches. Strip plank construction. Took around 16 months to build. Hopefully we start seeing more people start building their own boats. There are a lot of great boat designers out there offering plans and support.

I built it mostly as a tender but I also like to sail so I gave it the option. I cruise it around the islands where I live and fish from it a bit, just for fun. Does fairly well to windward and hauls downwind. The loose-footed sail is nice because there's no boom to crack you in the head.

The mast I made the day before one of these pictures was taken...I felled a small tree on my property, shaved it down with an axe, cleaned it up with a plane, screwed on the hardware and sailed away.

Nice work OP. Very cool to see it in the various stages of completion. Lots of other nice builds as well.
