^ you skin them before you gut them? Any reason for that? I always gut them first to try to bring temp down as quick as possible. I don't gut them until drug close to truck to keep dirt, leaves etc. out.

itís south Florida not generally going to be able to get the temp down enough to make a difference. Straight off the ground to the rack. I donít gut them, unless they are going into a walk in cooler. We skin them all the way down remove shoulders and backstraps. Trim down the gut down far enough to get the tenderloin. Split the hams. Then Ice.

She's a Boykin Spaniel. They are great swamp and dove hunting dogs. Best family dog/retriever I have ever had.

That is how we do it. 30 minutes and it is deboned and in the freezer.

I had a successful 2018 gator season in Florida. Filled 4 tags and everyone that hunted with me but one had never killed one so that made it even more exciting for me. Still eating through all the meat I ended up with and I have a pot of gumbo going right now with one of the legs.

What caliber and how do you like that silencerco suppressor? Been looking at them and ThunderBeast. I like the thunderbeast due to the suppressor threading on the muzzle brake when I shoot in DE (illegal to shoot with a suppressor in DE).

It is a 300 blackout. I'm a fan of the silencerco brand and have nothing but good things to say about the cans themselves and the company behind them. The ASR mounting system has caused a lot of people a lot of grief, including myself, but I think is mostly due to user error and not paying 100% attention when mounting the suppressor to thier brakes or flash hiders. I have no first hand experience with the TBs but I read a lot of good stuff.

Thunderbeast is a great can. It's the best accuracy/long range can made along with SAS. Silencerco is a great company though and I have nothing but good to say about the Slincerco stuff we shoot pistol or rifle.

Duck season is a wrap. Not a stellar season by any means but the older I get the less I care about shooting limits. Sharing the blind with my dog and watching the world through his eyes is satisfying enough for me.

Till next season ol boy...

Nothing better than watching a dog do what it was bred to do. Incredible concentration, and so proud to do a good job.
Beautiful dog !
