Picked up this diamond in the rough a month or so ago and have been slowly working on it when we have gaps in other projects. She will be mine for a couple years -- I had a 36 Open that I sold while looking for a 25 or 27 Open.
Powered by 1999 Yamaha 225 OX66s, holds 220ga (110+55+55), and has mid-2000s Raymarine electronics, basic stereo, no speakers, no LEDs, etc. Plain jane.
Phase One - Bath
Phase Two - 320, 600, 800, 1000, 1200, Compound, Compound, 3 step Polish, Wax
Phase Three - Demo - Getting it prepped for white powdercoat on the t-top as well as a new white Stamoid top. Ordering 2nd station, also powdercoating.
Phase Four - Electronics. Would like to do a NSS15 on the dash, SonicHub, Sonar Hub, 2kw, SideScan, 4G Radar. NSS9 up top. Plan on setting up zones properly. She's gonna be loud. Unfortunately, a lot of that stuff is TBD based on other boats selling. Will have to stick with the 4kw and C120 for the time being.
Phase Five - Re-Power. Nothing fancy, probably some used 250-300 Verados for now.
Phase Sometime - New fuel tanks. They are ugly and these years are notorious for failure. Would like to get closer to 250ga and shift weight forward in the boat to counteract the increased weight of four strokes.

very nice project!
I have twin 250 verados for sale, they have been in fresh water their entire life and have tons of documentation and proof. They look and run like new. They are available for sea trial and may even be able to deliver as the boat will be repowered in N.C. If you are interested call me 954-471-6071.- Mike

In the fore deck the smaller center storage is about 30 gallons. Our 02 was setup with an extra tank and it lives in there. Total is 240 with that config.

Luckily business has been super busy and I haven't had time to mess with this but we got the 2 strokes off and hopefully will have the Yamaha F250 pair hung this week!

You mentioned getting more capacity when new tanks are installed. When I swapped out my center I had them remove the fresh water tank and this allowed for an extra 24 gallons or so. Doesn't help shift weight forward but if you don't care about fresh water wash down it's a pretty easy way to increase capacity.
Looks great. Good luck.
