Default Lucky Turtle

Some friends were offshore last week and came across this turtle. At first, they assumed it had already died but, on a second pass, they saw him move his head slightly. The turtle was exhausted from pulling the floats and they were worried that it was past the point of swimming. After removing the mono and floats, they were relieved to see that guy swim off. I sure hope that turtle made it.

Nice to see one live another day. To many of them get killed by those go-fast boats.

I wish PETA could see that; were not all "fish killers".

Great job

Nice going. Most would just pass it by. We have lots of green turtles here too. A big problem does lie with with inconsiderate fishermen who carry bait in clear plastic bags. They discard the stinky bags overboard, not wanting the smell of squid on the boat. Allong comes a turtle &, thinking the plastic bag is a jellyfish, his favorite food, he eats the bag.

Plastic does not pass through turtles. It is a slow death.

Good job!

I have caught them while tarpon fishing, we release them too.

On a side note....a plastic bag will not pass through a cow either. That was another long day.

Nice release !!!

Reminds me of a guy that was cast fishing from his boat and wrapped a sea-gull in his line.
The bone head cut the line a motored away.

We motored over to the very mad tangled bird and cut him free.
