Good job, most folks just keep on going / I've done that a few times, and twice we've decided to bring the turtle in the boat and take them to a rehab center. Just a warning that if you do this, you need to get on the radio immediately and notify the CG or FWC (no sure what it is in NC) that you have an injured turtle on board and where do they want you to take him? Down in the keys I've dropped at the CG station Islamorada.

Sometimes it's not all about catching the most fish. Good job those guys did.

Was fishing w/ Capt Randy Rode in the Keys a few years ago. A pelican got our bait and also had two hooks in it's neck and mouth. Capt Randy pulled that bird in and wrestled it in trying to remove the hooks. People on the bridge were yelling at him b/c they though he was trying to kill the bird. We got the hooks out and a pissed off, but hookless pelican flew away.
