"You would be surprised to know how many kids 16 and 17 years old who have never been fishing."

I can't imagine growing up like this. It's great that you'll have a chance to introduce some kids to fishing.

I taught fly tying and fly casting to the Cub Scouts for a couple years and it was just awesome to introduce those boys to a new hobby. The pride they took in the flies that they tied and the excitement in their faces when they hooked up was something that I will always remember.

Default Just working

Just a little last minute sanding and started fitting the dash and never enough room. Looks like we will be modifying the console. My director was given a 90hp Honda that was involved in a truck accident .We are repairing it and installing it on his boat. Just a few pics of other projects. We did order our switch panel from New Wire Marine. It should be in today. Made sure we ordered the correct binnacle.

Tillman, most of these boys will remember you for the rest of their lives. Congratulations on your 31 years, no doubt you have been an inspiration to many of them.

Big Thanks to our electrical class for installing more lights so we can see good for the priming and painting.
The am class is making modifications to the console so everything can be fitted. The pm boys put on the first coat of Alex seal high build primer. They will apply 3 coats one hour apart. They are really getting the picture of how much prep work and patients that goes into a project.Tomorrow we will wet sand and look for scratches they missed and start applying spot putty. They decided on navy blue and beige for the colors.

What a great thread! Am I the only one that thinks this looks very similar to the Hewes lapstrake hulls? You've got some lucky students.
