Default Just a little progress

Just made a little progress today. The old steering wheel adapter is giving us fits. The students made rings to go around the cup holders to cover up the small screw holes.

Default Home work

Here is the answer these two boys came up with to fix our problem. They made rings to go around the cup holders . They even brought the hole saw from home.

If there was something like this that I could do after work or on a Saturday I'd be all over it.

Default Back on the Box

I learned a long time ago that the teacher is not always the most talented in the class.
This is one of my best students. He lives in Bayou La Batre and has spent his hole life with his dad repairing and building boats. He has taught me more about fiber glass than I could have ever learned else where. He is building and teaching the other students how to build the box.

Default Now For the Fun Part

The boys are building a wiring harness for the box. We want everything to be plug and play for the owner.

Default Nothing ever fits

We had to split the hood to make it line up.. The hood is off a Farmall (C) and the grill is off a Farmall (A). We did get it . Now to just make it look good. We are just waiting on the Fountain box to dry and we will give it a final sanding ,priming and paint. The students are out a week for Mardi Gras so we will be bank on the projects on the 19th

Default Bored

Students are out today but Teachers still have to come to work . I thought I would do a little cutting on the boat. We wanted to add a third battery for the house but had no room. Under the leaning post seat there is a small built in cooler that is never used. I cut the cooler out and we will be mounting a battery and three bank charger in the hole. And build a shelf that will come in and out to make the battery and fuel sending unit accessible

tillman did you or the students come up with this solution for adding the third battery?

Would have been great give the students the problem and let them come up with the solution.
