Wow, you put like $1500 worth of stuff in to a $150 boat. On a percentage basis those are some pretty extreme modifications.

Does it still float?

Welcome to THT!

We did not put even close to $1500 into this boat, more like just over $500. I don't know where you shop! :-)
It floats like a dream and the plywood seats are actually pretty light. The heaviest thing in that boat is the battery.
As far as percentages go, we don't care about that, we just wanted to something fun, but thank you for your input.

Thanks for the welcome!

I love it. Looks clean and tight and like you'll have a ton of fun on it.

What's the deal with the fenders on the sides of the seats?

Well, it is an inflatable and you cannot be too careful when tying up to a dock with an inflatable. Some of the docks we tie up to are old and wooden. The last thing we need is to get punctured by a dock. :-)

And yes we will have a blast on it. The dog loves it ! :-)

Not tippy at all actually. We took it out and there was no tip factor at all. The floor is pretty wide as well as the boat. We are going to camp this week for the 4th, so when we get back I will post some pics of it in the water and you can see how she sits. :-)

Default On the water

We took her out this week and I just wanted to show that it is not tippy at all. This boat floats like a dream and is virtually silent.

yes in Maine if it has any kind of motor, including a trolling motor, it has to be registered.

"looks tippy" is a standard response to a lot of boat pictures on here. I'm sure no offense was meant, just a humorous post. It's a long running joke.

Cool project

When you have an hour or 12 to waste sometime, use the search function and type in "tippy" to see what I mean

Oh no offense taken at all. Takes more than that to offend me. :-)

This is just a fun project all around. We had a lot of fun on this boat and family did some serious fishing. I gotta say, this little sucker is smooth on the water.

Default Launching Dolly

So, thought you all would like to know how we launch this thing. I built a custom launching dolly so I can just set the boat up on the dolly and then roll it right into the water at the boat launch and also with the big tires, you can launch from a beach area too. And it makes a hell of a seat when it's folded up. And no it is not tippy. ha ha

I know there is not a lot on this site for inflatables and hope you all don't mind that I am posting on here. Thanks for all your input.
