Default A true STEALTH BOAT !

As we were heading to the Hampton Regatta Races, we noticed this piece of military equipment sitting at the docks and I made a point to snap a pic for the THT crowd to drool over..

This thing is wicked and it had some really large jet drives or jet props hanging out the back, but you can't really see them.

What da' ????????????????????????????????

I'm AFRAID to know what's INSIDE that thing?????????????

VERY weird, INDEED - and it DO look "stealthy"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I assume it was over on the Hampton side - in that marina area back behind the Chamberlyn? Maybe "stationed" there as a "quick react" for harbor security?

You may get a "late night visit" by the "men in black" for snappin' that pic!

Regards,

Oh yea. Its deffinitly utilizing its full potental by sitting at the dock. Shouldn't it be out protecting us and being "stealthy"?

Would've been interesting to actually "see" if it showed up on your radar! Cool looking boat.

Take note of the radar dome on top. That looks like the same type used in the RV business, which are self tracking and capable of sending/receiving data..

Was that taken at Fort Monroe? It looks like the Navy research buildings just down from the marina there.

I saw that boat or one like that at Blue Water Yauths in Hampton yesterday. They said they were going to repaint it.Guy I talked to said he wasn't allowed to look inside.Neat looking boat.He told me it had tripple motors. It had a bow that looked like an arrow.Longest pointedest bow I've ever seen.I was told it was made out of aluminum.

That group at Monroe is a neat operation. Some really smart marine architects and engineers. Man, wouldn't it be great to have access to that much money and the ability to build, test and play with a multitude of various new designs!
