Hatteras man, that was a great thread. Kept up with it as it went. Would love to C more pics of your boat finished, in detail, most were running when she first splashed...beautiful job!!!
K5, yes that is an "aftermarket" custom top. I never liked the "Y" frame tops that Mac put on these boats. The stainless steel frame was too brittle, I always cracked mine, especially where they came down onto front windshield. My first two cracked, hence the reason I speced out a different top on #3. Never should have sold that boat... While looking earlier this year, my new boat was the only one I found on the market without the "Y" top,one of the many factors which made me pull the trigger on this particular boat.
I paid top dollar, but have no regrets...the factory tops with the SS frames are just not a good design IMO, learned that through experience with these boats..

Hatteras,
I love what you did with your boat, truly amazing work. I came across your thread a while back. I love the diesel youve got in there. I wish I had the boat know how and time to do something like that. Cars are one thing, but boats are a whole other ball game.

My 242 on the lift. Unfortunately it's seen more lift than water lately.

Steve, you need to get the dust off of her soon and bring her down to Marathon to boot

Mike I couldn't agree more!
I am thinking about towing it down to Southport to visit you and just get away! If not, we will certainly think about towing it down to Marathon (car 1 doesn't like that idea), but I like the adventure. I'm going to take her for a run this weekend, Commador Bill should be available for a fishing run! Talk to you this weekend my friend
