Just a reminder to anyone that missed this thread.
Go to page 1 and enjoy. Keep in mind I met and interacted personally with Buck less than 12 hours in my life and I still miss him like he was my closest friend.

Not to take away from anyone, but this has been the most worthwhile thread I have read on THT. Lots of insight into life on and around the saltwater. I thoroughly enjoyed it all the way through.

Buck made his days memorable, and I thank him for sharing that gift. RIP friend.

Brought my boat up from Florida to NJ last week and spent the night at the Beaufort docks.
I decided there that for Memorial day weekend, in honor of Capt Buck, I am going to make a Country Ham with his recipe.

Pretty sure several of the charter boats and the dive boat Buck worked are still next to Sanitary in Moorehead City docks. They were when I was down in February.

Had a dream about this thread last night. I only Conversed via email with Buck and hate that we never meet in person.

Well ya'll, it has been almost 7 years and over 5300 posts since Buck started the best thread on the internet.

I was present for many tellings of the maiden voyage story, along with other epic stories, by "Booger" Bill Williams back in the late 80's and early 90's.

I've searched and searched, to no avail, to find another image of the "Finest Kind".

Then, yesterday, to my pleasure this popped up on facebook!

So, finally, after nearly 7 years, this picture will confirm Buck's contention that this was the worst looking boat EVER!
