Santa brought Old Hardcore a new shotgun and he blooded it with his first goose yesterday. You couldn’t knock the smile off his face with a hammer!

My girls are 16 and 13, so you're just a few years ahead of me. Man they grow up fast...we gotta make the most of every minute.

Two german shepherds in our house as well...one for each daughter. *lol*

Congrats!!
Generally, when my kids let me even get a deer, it's a doe as well.
It's OK, I've killed a bunch of deer so I get far more enjoyment out of them getting one than me.

Thanks! Made him pluck it too and not just breast it. He’s not squeamish.

Took Old Hardcore to Lake Seminole for a change of scenery. Hadn’t hunted that place in a long time and wanted to see if my old spots still produced. Things have changed a good bit but we got into some ducks. He got his first ever Ringnecks.

Wild! Looks like some kind of miscegenation between a smallmouth and a bowfin!

Unsure if there is a difference between those, by y'all, and the ones we have in S Fl. Deer Meat For Dinner did a taste test back in October. Largemouth bass, peacock bass, and a snakehead. Snakehead won.
