A Freeman would have just cut right thru all that lumber and kept going 75mph!

You are in luck. West marine just sent out a fathers day sale brochure, and I do believe that a fiberglass repair kit might be on sale for a limited amount of time. Even that one won't buff out. Patch kit and the 2 part cleaner and wax kit will definitely be needed. If you search you tube, they will show you how to put that puppy back together in 3 1/2 minutes. You will definitely need a top quality buffer& waxer combo package which will probably be on sale for Fathers day this week.
Go at it, and buff that puppy out !
Glad to see that there were No major injuries. I guess they All ducked. Now human restoration is a different ball game. If you have an Obama health card, then you will get your head put back on. If you have real insurance, they will put your face pointing in the same direction as your toes.
Just my opinion of course.

40' Bayliner.

Friday the 22nd on the South end of the Fox Island Bridge on Puget Sound. It must have broker free in a small wind storm we had, and floated up on the beach. It was there until the tide came in, and floated off.

It was a local Charter Captain. Story was fuzzy at 1st. Blamed Electronics going out during fog. I call BS as when it happened I was 10 miles out and could see the pier's Green and Red with ease. Rumor is they let Client Drive.

Poodles!!! Looks like it's pretty common to hang out there while waiting for the tide to come back in.

Yeah, they love the beach and water. I'm thinking it was not intentional. The photos were taken around 4 while leaving. It's not uncommon for boats to get stuck in this area. That day I helped a group of guys push off a pontoon boat.
This was a few years ago. I watched this guy motor onto the bar, get stuck and then try to motor further. If they had stopped and gotten out they might have been able to push the boat off. They were there the whole day.

People don't pay attention and the tide drops fast. Long before you think you have a problem you are already stuck.

thought so. only been in there once with incoming water. so at low tide you cannot get out? or was it due to the negative low last week.

I run this area a few times a week. This bar gets really narrow where the boat ramp is and there's a line you must run to get to the ramp at low tide...I have to run it on plane and usually bump bottom..A few days earlier I made the run successfully which is normal. That day there happened to be a Brand New to the area DNR officer, he saw me come.im.and wrote.me.a warning for "negligent operation".
Well 2 days later there's 3 boats stick on the bar at various points we we're all trying to.get out before a thunderstorm...I pick my line, and spin in to make the run, hammer the throttle and look up to see the DNR truck pull up to the ramp. Figuring it's the same officer I pull the throttles back..STUCK! I was heated and jumped out of the boat and walked the 100 yds to my truck to ride out the storm. I called my wife to tell her what was going on, and that I was heading over to tell the DNR officer what I thought..She told me we didn't have bail money. Turns out it was a local officer that knows me and said lots of us locals had run ins with the new guy.. Apparently he was moved to another area...

Was my turn a couple months ago.

First time camping on Shell Key with the family, tide ran out overnight while the wind pushed in the wrong direction. Good excuse to hang out a few extra hours and let the kids play. Next time will set stern anchor out a little further
