I did. Giving it another shot with the i/o. I'm a real sucker for not not having an OB hanging there. People complain about the engine box but I think they make a great place for a rocket launcher and bait cooler / prep station.

A few more cleaned up and after test running. Needed a new fuel water separator but I think it's in business now. Going to have to get out the pressure washer on this nonskid.

Default Old Girl

This old girl has put a smile on my face since I was in the 6th grade, I will be 40 at the end of the year! She's old, she's not fast, but I do love her, she had a full restoration 4 years ago with a gently "used" four stroke engine put on her.

What a BILF! (Boat I'd Like to Fish) She may be old but she still has it going on! Congrats on all the years of fun with her.

I had an 89 for my first boat and I fished the hell out of it, was a great boat. Yours is a much nicer example though. Love the wood.

Apparently David Payne, the guy who built my boat started of the busininess in the US before selling up and moving back to Aust where he built the version above and many others.
Mine looks a little different now.

The people or their descendants still do a boat with some of the characteristics in the US and beyond Duroboat - The World's Finest Aluminum Fishing Boats

Great boat for the CHS harbor and surrounding areas, near shore reefs etc. The curtains really make it a 3 season boat.

Wow, amazing how cheap you can find so nice boats there in the US. A boat like that would propably be over 20k€ here in Finland.
