I agree but something's throwing me off track. Maybe it's the paint.

The picture of indasevens boat shows, to my eye anyway, a slight inflection point in the sheer line, right about even with the console. That was the feature that kept me from thinking Mako.

But I am no expert, and the photo might be misleading and the sheer might actually be a smooth curve throughout.

I sent him a PM to ask that he come back and tell us the make and model of that boat. If you check his profile, he hasn't been back on the forum since the 21st, so hopefully he is busy boating and not as addicted to THT as me!

It's not a Mako.
Might be an Oceanmaster with a Mako console.

The '70s 25 did have a low cap unlike the later boats. Most of those were single engine boats though. But what looks non mako to me is what appears to be no liner. You can sort if see that in front of the console.

I'll be in it a total of 2k plus a bit of time.

That might be the best deal I've seen on this thread yet. Sweet ride.

Here is mine. Just bought her a week ago all myself (I am only 22). 1999 Alumacraft Lunker V16, with a trailer, and good running tiller operated 40HP Tohatsu outboard for $1,500. Already redid all of the wiring and fixed/replaced everything in it. Next is waiting for my decals to come in to put the name on her, and then she is complete.....for now

Albemarle 24. I bought the boat/trailer for 5k and Estimate right at 10k investment with new electronics included. Paid for about 10 hours of shop labor in that figure, did the rest myself. 5.7 vortec with volvo DP drive. If anyone cares I have been keeping a log. It had a low hour Indmar vortec block but the engine accessories were swapped over from an older long block and they all needed to be replaced. Rusty!

I have been fishing the boat since May and slowly improving on the cosmetics since then.

9/21/14
Trailer rebuilt
Painted with Zinc Paint
New tires, hubs, bearings, seals, brakes, brake actuator, brake lines, lights, wiring, bearing buddys, leaf springs, various hardware, some rollers replaced.

3/31/15

Engine and Drive serviced by Britt Buck with Ed’s Marine in Grimesland, NC
Engine: Oil Change, New Pulleys, New Belt, Brackets wire wheeled and painted, alternator rebuilt, starter rebuilt, spark plugs, manifolds and risers replaced, hoses and hardware for manifolds replaced, new thermostat. New circulating water pump and new impeller for raw water pump.

New Raymarine a68 gps and fishfinder installed with CPT-100 CHIRP trandsucer.
New DSC VHF radio and 8’ Shakespeare antenna installed.
Engine and trailer coated with Fluid Film rust protectant.

Seeing this thread pushed me to get back on the water (well besides 2 small sailboats).

I didn't think I had the money to get what I want, but lucked out and found one I could afford like 2 min after it was posted.

Marina had to service motor and they finished this evening and will pick up Fri assuming the old trailer holds up for the 100 mile ride home. Post better pics when I have her home...

picked up a 04 G3 1548FL with 04 Yamaha 25hp ESHC(electric start only) tiller both with less than 10hrs last week for $1650, old man i bought if from took it out twice in 04 and then had some health problems and stored the boat all this time, did a little maintenance on the motor from sitting. turning motor over by hand, new plugs, new gas, lines, grease, brushes for starter(broke one when taking them out to release the springs!) but she fired right up on the first pull with the emergency pull start rope!! have plans to make a rear deck and gut the benches like on a 14 skinnyskiff, poling platform and seadek the front. also building a aluminum torsion axle trailer since the galvanized one is rusted pretty bad.. also orderd new paint for the cowling since it faded real bad over time sitting in the sun

1979 Mako. I've had her for 4 years now. $8200 with a 2 year old trailer.

Swapped out the 92 Carbed Yami for an OX66 with 240 hours and "upsized" the 2006C Garmin for the 2010C because I couldn't see the damn charts anymore.

I love my 1972 Appleby 10' jon boat. High school graduation present. I think dad paid about $100 for it. I have a couple of others, but this one is my favorite.

OK sorry havent been on site in a few weeks due to work and family. ANYWAY, a few questions about it... Its an 87 Ocean Runner!! It rides great!! It needs lots of attention like one of the tachs doesnt work and one of the bilge pumps doesnt work but for the money it does great. Had motors completely gone through before I would spend any money on misc stuff like that. Had water pumps, carbs sync, oil changed etc etc about $2500 worth for both motors. The good news is the family LOVES the boat , bad news is I think Im going to sell it and get a newer, nicer one because the family did enjoy a recent run to the Keys so much on another boat, We want to upgrade.... $10,000 will get this one very soon!!
