Geebers, couldn't help but laugh at your post - do you think those folks laugh at you when you're getting beat to death in 1 foot chop as they blow by you sipping a jack and coke? Probably not, they don't give it a second thought, just like they wouldn't give it second thought when you need assistance.

Well, that is before that day you were laughing at them.

Just be happy to be on the water, don't turn it into something it's not (and don't act like an ass)... Just sayin'

For the record, I agree with you that everyone should just be happy to be on the water.

That said, I did get laughed at yesterday by some guys in a 24' Yellowfin while my dad and I were out in the Banshee. Honestly, I probably would've done the same if I were them. It was pretty snotty and we were taking waves over the bow while they looked a little more comfortable and drier. We probably should've just stayed home but we wanted to get out and attempt some fishing before we leave on a cruise on Thursday..

I just smiled and waved, happy with the fact that I could've gone home and got the 32' and showed them what a real comfortable/dry ride is

Everytime I open a fishing magazine I have to stop and look at the Yellowfin ad with the 36' and the 24.

When I win the lottery I think I will order both!

I've had this 2000 16' Hewes Bonefisher (last year of the lappy Bonefisher) for 2 years now and can't say enough good about it. Sometimes I wish I could get a little bit shallower, but the ride more than makes up for it!

I guess this is one of those instances where "tone" gets misunderstood on the internet. I have fished around those boats and guys many times. I get just as much crap about what my boat cant do from them (all in good fun) so when i get a the chance i tease them about needing a better boat knowing full well they that both have very nice quality boats i take it. I mean we are even at the same marina, yes i laughed but its my friends. If it was someone i didnt know i would still laugh (just in my head).

Im not harassing people bc i think their boat sucks.......its all between friends...

The Dude - beautiful Ride! People Love the Lappy! I just sold mine to a friend - I had a '97 with the yammy 90, loved it, and i miss it.

Although I did replace it with an Action Craft 1720 which I am very happy with.... the pics I have are all JPG - does anyone know how to post JPG on here?

JPG's upload the same as any other. Just make sure they aren' too big. If you need to resize, an easy way is select the pics you want to upload and then click e-mail which will give you options on overall size and quality. Copy those pics in the e-mail to your desktop and then upload from there.

Sac, what's the story on the building you are docked at. Private residence fishing shack or fisherman's motel with rooms to rent? Where is it located? Looks like a great place to stay.

I got my first flats boat about 2 months ago. Nothing special but it's paid for and I like fishing out of it.
