Photo Competition
How's about a monthly photo competition? No prizes, just bragging rights. (Unless THT wants to throw in a photo frame or some other prize?)
Anyone can post a photo, but only one in any given month. They can change that photo right up until the last day of the month. The last photo they post will be the one entered.
The photo must have been taken by them and must have been taken in that month! Can be any subject. Boating, family, animals etc. While we can't guarantee that they took it the EXIF info can prove the month. We will use the honor system for who took it!
Normal THT photos guidelines apply.
The photo must appear on the thread. That is, no links to where it is, but it must be visible on here. So you need to get it hosted somewhere and tag it. A 640 X 480 size normally works well since it can be seen on most screen sizes. But bigger is OK if you want to get detail across.
Please post the locataion and date the photo was taken, and any other relevant info that would allow members to vote for it!
Then during the first week of the following month, THT members vote on their favorite. The pic with the most votes wins! Though comments on photos will be posted as the month progresses so entrants will get an idea of whether or not they need to try another photo!
So this thread can be August's. Only two weeks left so get your pics on here! No problem if they have been previously posted but must have been taken by the poster during August 2008!
A hint - photos that are relevant to the season or current events normally do very well in these types of competitions!

I'm going to OBX Wed. for a few days and will try to find "OBX Skeeter" to take a pic FOR me! 
I AM going down there - and will try to find something for this thread. Maybe there's some "women's beach volleyball" going on somewhere?
