Default Yeti Alternate

Ok, so I have a RTIC 65, it has been a great cooler. It always exceeds my expectations. I need one size smaller as it won't fit under my leaning post. I always hear about people receiving YETI as a gift, been waiting for years with no luck. Looks like I am going to have to break down and buy my own. Before I pull the trigger on a RTIC 45, I am open to hear about any other options.

Yes, they were a "dime-a-dozen" at the spring LA Sportsmans's show. Pelican has some of the best ratings but they're BIG. I haven't heard anything negative about the RTIC... unfortunately I got bit by the Yeti bug and I'm staying in that camp. The 75 fit my boat PERFECTLY and I'll post a pic if I ever can.

I just need one more post (this one) but IDK if it's going to lock me out again under the "5 posts per 24 hours rule."

I bought a Siberian cooler a couple of years ago. I actually learned about it on this site. Really good cooler and a good bit cheaper than a Yeti. I recommend them highly.

I got a Frosty for under the leaning post on my skiff. Heard about them on this forum. I picked it bc the dimensions were perfect for the space. 70 qt roto molded, rectangular shape, same hinges clasp and feet as the pricey ones. Quite a bit cheaper tho.

We have the Ozark Trail coolers from that big blue store. They work great and have seemed to performed just as well as the Yeti our friend uses when we are out.

I have a South Jetty. It's been holding up well. One of the rubber latches broke and they sent me a new one.

We just picked up one of the Lifetime coolers from Walmart, I think 72q maybe? Was $150ish. Will be used on the boat as a seat/cooler/baitwell in front of the center console.

I was about to mention this. I picked up a 55qt a few months ago and have been happy with it so far. They are also made in USA

icey tek made some yeti coolers not sure if I like their hinge system.

Calcutta's new cooler looks nice and has a light. If you want a soft cooler check out their backpack cooler.

Do you need ice to last for multiple days in that cooler?
If not--those damn things are heavy once loaded--I would consider a cheaper, almost disposable Igloo

I just bought my third rtic, a rtic 145. I considered Engel, yeti, etc. after looking at prices, rtic was the clear winner. Got to my house in 36 hours free too!

Check out Grizzly, made in USA unlike most of the others. Also can be personalized with logo, etc.

Honestly there are not huge differences between the top rotomold coolers; pre-cool and don't open every 5 minutes and they all do great.
