Post your Storm photos you captured..
I thought there was a storm thread but couldn't find one, hopefully keep it running like the sunset, wildlife etc threads. I recently went on a 4 day storm chase with a 18 year veteran and a National Weather Service forecaster covering over 2000 miles around Oklahoma, Texas Panhandle, and West Texas. We intercepted maybe eight Super Cells, all with their own personality. Unfortunately, (or luckily) only two were tornadic, and they were only brief not long enough to fill the column with debris. maybe next time.........
Dueling forces battling for supremacy...
Looking through a Super Cell towards the Sunset
A Super Cell rain dump.....
The bright area to the right is crashing cold out draft, an element that helps to spin the surface to link with the upper vorticity.

I live in Florida where the topography doesn't lend itself to seeing storms like in your photos. About a dozen years ago I was in Kansas and got to observe a storm passing through at a distance. It was amazing to see.

Thanks for the photos.

I've seen my share of nasty storms offshore out of Cape Lookout and Ocracoke, but these shots are incredible,

Not mine but an all time favorite.

I always liked this one of my dad dodging storms off the coast of Sebastian. There where water spouts off shore when we cleared the inlet. Wemanaged to dodge the storms all day except for trying to make it back in the inlet. We ended up going into a light shower with two bad storms on either side guarding the inlet. Luckily there was not much lightning. Lightning is what scares me out on the water.

As much as waterspouts spook me, they can be avoided...'s lightning that scares the freaking sh!t out of me.

Made it back to the ramp as the rain was coming across the marsh.
