I'll assume it's an American hull and build completion....Can't get a coastwise fisheries endorsement if it's a Canadien boat. Nice lookin boat.
More pics of the deck layout and cockpit, including engine cover please!!Thanks in advance, Joe

Cruises 20kts at 5 gallons per hour?? Really? With a 330hp cummins? At what rpm .... like 1400rpm's.

More realistically, this boat cruises 15kts at 9 gallons per hour.

Looks like a very nice boat for $60k and someone will be getting a great setup and at a great price.

Shark you are correct about coastwise and she is a Nova Scotia built boat. She can be chartered, but can't sell fish commercial. I know you can apply for a waiver, but thats only for charter or transport. Regardless she's a nice setup. We ran her for a quick run in the bay. The reported fuel burn numbers are from the seller. We compounded and waxed the hull, topsides could use a little more clean up. Seems like a great deal considering the newer power. There's 4500 hours on the whole boat.

Too bad she's a Canadien. She is actually one of the more "reasonably" priced downeasters I've seen in quite a while. I could see an American comm. guy picking this up and making some $$ with it otherwise.
I know this type boat is desireable but the prices on most I've seen lately; even the ones in rough shape, leave me scratching my head.
Makes me feel like I gave my 35 Duffy away at 40K, ready to fish!!

That is exactly what I will be looking for once I sell my boat.

My buddies is a TANK in 6 - 8' stuff.

Never realized about the Canadian hull issue......... too bad.

How can it be down east if it is from Canada? Wouldn't it need to be Maine designed? I'd call it a Novi boat.

No, Levy hulls are made in Nova Scotia and they are finishers as well. Unless a Maine builder purchased a mold from them the hull is made in NS and the topside and wheelhouse all looks like Levy's handywork. Nice boats.

When the uscg became part of homeland security a few years back ...the uscg documentatation center sent me a letter saying my 35 Duffy was required to be documented and to include a coastwise fisheries endorsement to continue operating commercially in the US EEZ. It took me a letter from Atlantic Boats, 3 sworn affidavits as to completion evidence because the 1st owner had passed away, and 6 months to come into compliance.
Luckily. I was abled to fish through the process. The bottom line is that....unless the hull and the finish build is American, you can NOT get a coastwise fisheries endorsement to fish in the US EEZ, commercially.
Sorry for any misunderstanding but that's what I meant in the 1st place.
It's still a pretty solid looking boat and would make a killer pleasure boat IMO!
