Default Plunge cutting travertine tile (in place), what tool/blade?

I need to cut uot 5" of travertine tile in a cased opening to get an oak threshold installed. The bulk of the run I'll use a diamond blade in a grinder. What shuold I use in the corners though?

I assume they make carbide fein saw blades but are they worth a crap?

I could pop the casing and over cut it then tack casing back and caulk it in, that may be best option.

I've done my share of tile work but never found myself in this position.
