You were told correctly. And they test every one that is placed before you leave the cath suite. Got to know if it is placed correctly.

Ask your EP doc if they will be giving you a test after they put in your new battery. It wouldn't surprise me if you get the juice.

edit: Didn't read closely your previous post. Looks like you already mentioned you would get tested with the new battery.
