They tried to have wireless charging and there was extensive testing. Essentially according to my electrophysiologist who was part of the study the big guys (St Jude, Medtronics) killed it as it would hurt their profits. There was a slight issue with the device heating up during the charge (like your phone does) but not an insurmountable problem.

I'm 60 and this will be my fifth. Started due to a freak disease when I was in my late 30's. On the other hand if this happened 50 years ago I'd be dead.
