Russ:
Those are "Canada geese", not "Canadian", just to get the terminology right.
We refer to the Canada geese as "winged rats" around here. They are everywhere. I grew up near Cincinnati, never saw a Canada goose there until about 1980. Those buggers are plentiful there, now. The birds are migratory waterfowl, with open seasons, limits and hunting methods strictly controlled by Federal law. Don't even think about shooting or otherwise harming one out of season.
My buddy and I have our Canada goose hunting trip scheduled for this fall. Every year, we go up to Canada and each of us shoots anywhere between 20 and 40 of those geese in 5 days. We do our best to help you out!
