I don't get what u are bitching about...semantics? Florida natives? How to cook? Waitress staff? Hawaii ?
No, as a Florida native I'm bitching about people using a Hawaiian name for a fish when there's a universally accepted English word for it, purely to placate tourists/non-natives. Admittedly, I'm a dinosaur and resistant to change....

Your restaurant's source of fish may have been the tropical Pacific
...touche....

You may want to check your apparel
? Not sure I follow...

And I don't know that I quite have my panties in a wad, I understand why it happens, I'm just expressing a thought I had and polling the group to see if anyone else felt the same. I'm sure there are folks in cattle country who would be a little peeved when their menus start listing 'bistec con papas'....
