No experience, but I do know that people who run a lot spend a ton of money on their shoes. Presumably the same holds true for walkers.

May want to try going to a specialty running store and being fitted.

My general preference on (that sort of) medical issues is how to stop the issue, not how to treat the symptoms. Remember doctors make money when you keep coming back, not when they offer common sense advice or solutions and don't see you again.
