Your Flounder must be huge compared to ours off Long Island (we get a fair number of fish in the 4-8 lb range, but double digit fish aren't very common) and in very deep water (we don't fish in more than 100') to use anything bigger than an Avet SX, Penn 975 or Fathom 12, Shimano Tekota 300 or 500.
We fish AbuGarcia C3-5500's = at 9.2 ounces there is nothing lighter with the same capabilities. I have 8 of them, and collectively they have caught 4-5,000 Fluke up to 11 lbs in the past 4 years.
My favorite Fluke rod is the 6'6" Penn Torque 30-80, which is now the Carnage CARJG3080S66.
All 8 of our Fluke rods are the 6'6" Torques with AbuGarcia C3-5500's spooled with 150 yards of 20 lb Sufix 832 on a 60 yard backing of 30 lb Dacron braid with a 10' 12' fluorocarbon wind-on.
