We do bilateral hips fairly often, usually only high volume surgeons do bilateral hips. There are higher acute complications, but long term complications are similar(one less anesthesia exposure). They seem to rehab very well also. I would only consider it if both hips are severe and after having one hip replaced, your other hip will severely limit rehab.
