Here's my grounding in Chatham inlet a few weeks back.....Coast Guard had me on camera the whole time since I was so close to the station.....talk about embarassing!

I had an amazing show by a group of 6-8 seals who were enormously entertained that I was there! One leader would slap and flip whenever I stopped watching their antics....they are like poochies in wet suits.

Chatham harbormaster was a gem.....kept an eye out for me and gave me instructions on deploying my anchor for pulling myself out when the tide came in.

I was then treated to a 10 mile run in new moon darkness as my introduction to night boating without a spotlight and thankfully with chart/radar overlay. Made it the whole way without even touching anything...but my hand marks are still in the steering wheel.

Thanks for the company!
