I had a NavNet Vx2 on my previous boat with a Simrad autopilot. It integrated just fine and worked well... most of the time. However, I did have a disappointing number of problems with the Simrad unit. On my new boat, I have everything Furuno (including the 511 autopilot) and find that it works very well. If your boat is an outboard or an I/O, you may need to check whether Furuno even offers the "virtual feedback" option that is preferred for outboards and I/Os.

By the way, you do need to buy a separate GPS "antenna" for your Furuno NavNet Vx2 to connect with the plotter, so check that it is included in the package that you are talking about.

I think you will be very happy with your Furuno package. The open array radars and sounders, in particular are great.
