Worms, small crickets, if you don't want live bait, Berkley makes a powerbait in multiple colors that is the size of a pea and shaped like a marshmallow, don't remember what their called, but they work great and come in kid freindly colors like bright yellow, pink, bright green, etc. I'd stick with pinched off pieces of worm on a small hook close to docks and structure. small light bobber and split shot. Depending on water temp, I'd start 8-12 inches off bottom and work up until you find them.
