Some good advice so far.

Start with the manual reel that is "covertable" to power, i.e. Electra-Mate.

For manual cranking, the reel with a lower gear ratio is easier, so the 114H will be more manageable than the 113H. I've cranked both, and don't see too much improvement with 114H, but it is noticable.

Best advice is to Call Capt Harry's Tackle in Miami -- SE FL is the home of kite fishing here in the U.S. and they're great with explaining the whole deal.
