Yes words cannot express our Gratitude to those that gave all.

"They surely deserve it, but this is not their holiday. Instead, I will ask to stand those whose have loved ones whose names are forever linked with places like Bataan, Normandy, Chosin, Cam My, Beirut, Fallujah, Baghdad, Afghanistan and elsewhere"

Interesting - I have noticed the news coverage around here had a lot of coverage of living vets (CMH winners and such) and other riding in cars and marching in uniforms and features on them. Seems like we have lost sight of the Memorial nature of the holiday for those that died and gave up everyhting, no more marching, barbecues, fishing, all their hobbies, their families, absolutely everything. I now have a real hard time imagining giving up all for anything except my family.
