Last night on the news they said many live on less than $2 a day and that the unemployment rate was 33% but many are day jobs. They recounted a brief history mentioning 30 coup d'états, etc.


I know that the Dominican Republic is a tourist destination but was supprised to hear that 40,000 US citizens call Haiti home according to the news last night.
