Default Re: Auto Insurance for a teenager..Yikes!

Your daughter is a honor student and you're not putting her in a BMW, what's up man?

All joking aside Glen, a new Honda Civic is one a sports car and secondly there's a fairly high risk of it being stolen and if it's a standard transmission that will jack up the rates even higher. Your best bet is to buy a 87 Dodge K car and insure it for a year. There is no way around those high rates other than buying and insuring an old granny car that no one wants to steal and only comes in automatic. After the first year you will have become established and your rates will have come down, then you can move up in vehicles.
