Default Re: the ocean is changing

happyjack92 - 12/12/2008 9:48 AMCO2 makes up less than 1/10 of a percent of the amosphere. and the amount contributed by humans is less than 1/10 of that.the earth has been changing for 4+ billions years and there's just about nothing we can do to stop it. dinosaur farts were more harmful to the environment than cars. what we have been able to do in recent years is measure the changes...what we didn't know before, didn't hurt us...ignorance was bliss. but now that we can measure it, we think we can change it.now, that doesn't mean i'm not in favor or protecting the environment and reducing pollutants...but to think that we're going to change the earth's atmosphere is hubris of the highest order.

Agree. Time and money is better spent determining how to deal with possible changes, and even how to capitalize on them. Not trying to reverse them. You are kidding yourself if you think we can reverse or even moderate such events.
