RI Builder - 6/29/2007 3:57 PMI know around here, the insurance companies will not carry you if you own an "aggressive" breed, including a Pitbull, Rotty, Doberman, Boxer, etc.

You need to remove boxer from that list. We own one and have 2 insurance policies. Even my agent owns a boxer that is blessed by her carrier.

As explained to me it's not just agressive dogs that they don't like. She said that some companies don't even like goldens, labs or retrievers. Must be near the #1 dog owned by families. Right? The problem is that so many are out there they have more history of biting something. I will admit that this info is near 4 years old.

I might not be up to date on my info but my boxer stays. I don't care if I need to find another company to write the policies.

My boxer is dumber than your honor student. He proves it everyday.

If you do not mind me asking, who is your carrier?

My BIL has a pair of them and had a heck of a time finding a carrier, and even then, has to pay a substantial premium for them.
