I live in TN and have been to Venice with my boat 4 times this year. Message me, and I can tell you what you need to do. It is very dangerous in the winter time if you arent sure what you are doing. I would charter first if possible. The passes can be tricky, but Red pass and southwest pass are safest. Northeast pass is what all the charters use if heading to the lump. As stated above, you need to be very familiar running radar, as you are usually running strictly off electronics because sometimes you cant hardly see the nose of your boat the fog is so thick.
