While I agree with all the above I find it amazing that these old boats hold so little value. New boats are 10's to 100's of thousand dollars and comparatively newer used boats are near the same price. A new 30 footer can cost up to a million dollars but an old usable boat is only worth a fraction of a percentage. Lots of repair and upgrade can be done for far less than 100k ......????? These boats should hold real value.

My boat is a well maintained 1989 Wellcraft 33 footer and I did not spend a lot of money to purchase. My maintenance and up keep is comparable to a buddy with a brand new high end 41 footer and I have a lot of money not spent in comparison. He is capable of 3 times my speed!
